Mouse & Pine Cone

Good Morning, this was my art club piece from my time as a Bonny Snowdon Ignite member.  This little guy was drawn on Bristol Board with a combination of  polychromos and luminance  pencils.

It was nice to be able to see what everyone else was drawing and how we all had our own unique style of drawing.  This only took a relatively short amount of time to complete as it was quite loose style.  It came together quick quickly.

Thanks for stopping bye

Tulips - Coloured Pencil on Pastelmat

Good Morning, today I am sharing with you my finally completed Tulips drawing.  This was drawn on Pastelmat, light grey.  I really enjoyed using this surface to use my coloured pencils on, they blend so easily with just with a cotton bud.  This was completed in 2 halves, 1 year apart.  The first part was done as free lesson just drawing 1 tulip, the second part was finished as a member of the Bonny Snowdon Ignite a year later.  I trialled it for a short time and really enjoyed it.  However, I am not focused enough to commit to one hobby as I have several, all craft related so I completed my drawing and happy with the result.  I enjoy realistic drawing when I find the time to do it.

Using Pastelmat with pencils was very different to my experience using it with pastel pencils which I hated however I really enjoyed using my pencils on this surface. I used trace down to transfer the line drawing.

This drawing took me several hours to complete, I have found that coloured pencil drawing is very very time consuming as there is lots and lots of light layers.  I am a bit too impatient to commit to this as a singular hobby.  I prefer to just dip in and out when my mood suits.

Thank you for stopping bye x

Die Welt unter der Lupe - zu Lande - Bumblebee

Good Morning, today I'm sharing with you my Rita Berman page, the bumblebee.
This is my first book I have of Rita's and it's stunning.  I will have to collect more !   I'm fairly new to the colouring world having dabbled on and off for a little bit so my collection is growing quite fast!

I got this inspiration for this page's background from My Colourful Country Life's You Tube Channel. She is a talented colourist/artist and creates the most beautiful pages which inspired me to try her technique of the bokeh background.  She is such a wealth of information and knowledge and I'm learning lots from her channel over on YouTube.

I also used my recently purchased Color Cubes from Sarah Renae Clark as  I wanted some nice bright colours for this summery page.  I am loving these cubes, it really helps with inspiration however I will need to get the digital versions to compliment the physical cards as it can be a little tricky to actually select a colour palette from 500 cards in a box !

Color Cube card 407 for overall inspiration palette.

I used my polychromos pencils to colour this along with  a white jelly roll pen and some sparkle pens to finish it off.  I always track my pages in my colour planner so I can refer back to what colours I have used.

Everything is my own purchased products, no affiliated links
