Flower Dreams - All Dressed Up

Hello Crafters

Today I have made a fabric card from a lovely image  Flower Dreams from

All Dressed Up  such a lovely Etsy Shop with some beautiful images to work with.

I used some vintage fabric for the background of my focal image Flower Dreams. Isn't she just adorable, such a delightful image.

I wanted to go with green and pink theme again which is my favourite combo of colours to use.

I stitched round the edge of my chosen vintage fabric and then adhered this to a 6 x 6 card base.  I then die cut 2 squares from Velum and then made a frame with velum and embossed the frame for some texture. I love the translucency of the Velum.

The blue circle from a previous die cut waste and thought that would add some interest plus help accent the blues in the flowers.

I used my scan n cut to fussy cut the little girl and coloured her with Spectrum Noir pencils and finished with gel pens for a pop of sparkle.  Lastly, I heat embossed the sentiment and added some little butterflies with gems.

I hope you find a bit of inspiration here.

Our challenge theme for the week is.

Christmas

Anything that fits this theme qualifies for entering into this challenge. (Please tell us how you feel it fits in with this subject).

.

Our sponsor for this challenge is

 Cutting Cafe

I wanted to go with a vintage Christmas theme.  I used my scan n cut to fussy cut the digital image and then coloured her in with my pencils.  I wanted to layer some book page music sheets and go with a traditional theme of red and green.  I used my eyelet setter to add interest to the sentiment.

I hope you can find some inspiration.

Hello Spring - My Journal Page

Hello fellow crafters, today is journal page day. I'm sharing a page from my journal that I am working on. This is for the Ally's Angels Challenge as always anything goes.  I wanted to get a bit arty with mixed medial and really enjoyed creating this one.  The stamps were freebies in Creative Stamping Magazine.

Check out the challenge over on:

I stamped and fussy cut the lightbulb and coloured this with some distress inks.  I used some metallic pens on the screw part of the bulb.  I distress inked the backgrounds and used some stencils to create some texture along with some spritzed water to diffuse the ink.  Finished with some washi tape.

Thanks for stopping bye.

Mad Hatter

Hello Crafters, it's another challenge over on CRAFT Challenge and this weeks sponsor is

The theme this week is Inspired by a Movie.

Well I decided on the Mad Hatter's Tea Party for my theme.  I love Alice in Wonderland, it's so whimsical. If you visit Llandudno in Wales, there is a park with some beautiful Alice in Wonderland sculptures set in a lovely park. You can see Alice spotted around the town as this article explains it wonderfully.

" The Welsh connection runs much deeper – all the way back to 1861, when the eight year old Alice Pleasance Liddell (the real 'Alice' in Wonderland) spent the first of many summer holidays in Llandudno. Her holiday home ‘Penmorfa’, was built on Llandudno’s West Shore. The Liddells were close family friends with Charles Dodgson, who wrote the books under his more famous pen-name, Lewis Carroll.

It’s long been speculated that Carroll visited the Liddells at the holiday home they built here, and was inspired by Alice and her adventures in Llandudno."

It is such a lovely place to visit, we often visit.

Back to my card.

I used Kraft card blank and trimmed it to A6.  I used my trusty pink and green colour theme, I just love these two colour combinations. With it being a digital stamp, Mad Hatter, I used my coloured pencils for this, as often said before, I just don't get along with alcohol markers.  I prefer the softer blends of the pencils.

I used some fussy cut butterflies and some elements of paper emphera such as the little cards and clocks.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you can be inspired by my little blog
